The Aurora Central Catholic Football Program is sponsoring “Gold Rush 2011″ as the Chargers host Chicago Christian this Friday for Homecoming 2011. All fans are being encouraged to join up with the Varsity Football team and wear Gold from head to toe, as the Chargers look to get back on the right track.
“Gold Rush” t-shirts will be available during the school week at Aurora Central Catholic during the school lunch periods (11:15-11:40, 11:55-12:20). While students will have the first opportunity to buy the “Gold Rush 2011″ t-shirts, alumni and fans are encouraged to stop by ACC during those hours to buy shirts for family and friends. Cost of the t-shirts is $10. Shirts will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. If shirts remain, they will be sold on Friday night at the Homecoming game.
In addition to the t-shirts, the first 500 fans to enter Bob Stewart Field on Friday night will receive a Gold pom pom.
“This is a very important game for our football program,” ACC Head Coach Brian Casey said. “We are expecting a great crowd, with a lot of alumni back for Homecoming. Our kids really feed off the energy from the students and fans, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone in Gold ready to help us get back on track and continue our quest to get ACC back into the Playoffs.”
