Members of the 2011 Varsity Football celebrated “Sibling’s Day” last weekend, as the Chargers hosted Marengo. Fifteen current players were introduced with their brothers and sisters at halftime of the sophomore game.
The event was another new tradition set for by ACC Head Coach Brian Casey, and was a play off last years “Mom’s Day”.
“Sibling’s Day was a new one we did this year, we really want to continue making our football program, a football family,” Casey said. “It was very neat to have all the brothers and sisters out to support their football players. It was cool to see the alumni siblings, and other kids who have come to Summer Camps here at ACC, there were a lot of smiling faces before the game.”
Along with being introduced, sibling’s took part in the pre-game tunnel as the Chargers took the field. Many also wrote short letters to their brothers.
